There’s exciting news for parents searching for Chiswick youth football opportunities, or football coaching ‘near me’ in this part of West London.
Foxes FC has launched a varied and exciting programme under its new Chiswick Football Academy, including everything from advanced Masterclasses to the ideal chance for kids to ‘kick off’ an early interest in this sport.
The new football Academy will deliver its activities on modern, all-weather pitches, and with all the usual high quality and safety standards that Foxes FC has built its strong reputation on. The emphasis will be on a positive football experience for all players and fun times with friends.
Though this busy schedule of football training opportunities will take place in Chiswick, the aim is to recruit young players interested in football from around Acton, Barnes, Brentford, Ealing, Hammersmith, Isleworth, Fulham, Kew, Sheen and Richmond too. It is also an excellent job opportunity for qualified coaches from this area of London.
What is the Chiswick Football Academy?
The Foxes FC Academy provides diverse options for local children interested in football – for fitness, fun or a future career! Its fabulous new football Academy in Chiswick builds on the successes already achieved by this leading London football club for children.
Foxes FC has already recruited many hundreds of young players across London, for its competitive football teams (of various ages) and development squads. It has been successful in achieving the highly-prized England Football Accreditation status – passing the FA’s rigorous assessment criteria – and acceptance into youth leagues with strict entry requirements.
Now, Foxes FC is opening up a range of exciting Chiswick area football opportunities for children aged 5 to 15. Including football coaching for girls and boys, and even holiday camps.
As with all Foxes FC activities in and around London, professional coaches and referees are involved in delivering football skills development and enabling children to learn new physical abilities and life skills.
The emphasis of the new Chiswick Football Academy is also on safety, inclusivity, and making sure every child feels like a winner.
Where will the new Chiswick football Academy be?
Apart from providing children with access to superbly qualified and experienced local football coaches, the new Academy will also only use the best football facilities in the Chiswick area. This enhances coaching and competitive football and adds to the safety-values Foxes FC adheres to.
So, football activities locally will take part at the first-class facilities provided by the QH Memorial Sports Ground River Pitches and Gunnersbury Sports Hub.
The River Pitches are 3G astroturf and floodlit, enabling them to be used year-round, for a comfortable and safe playing experience. QH Memorial Sports Ground is handy for Chiswick Train Station, Mortlake Train Station and the local bus service and has ample car parks parents can use.
The Academy will also use Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub. This sports facility is easy to travel to from Chiswick but also Acton and Brentford. It provides a family-friendly sports centre – for indoor activities – and excellent outdoor football pitches.
Professional coaching for young players
The core activities of our Chiswick Academy will include supporting league teams for boys and girls-only league teams. We will also offer Development Squads, so children can learn the football fundamentals before joining league teams – including our Foxes Fives – Friday 5-a-side League.
The most promising and ambitious Academy players will have opportunities to do Masterclasses, using the services of ex-Premier League players and some of the top football coaches in the London area. These involve small groups, building advanced football skills, and learning new football techniques.
Some may join us when we take part in our international tour to Sweden, to compete in the annual Youth World Cup (Gothia Cup).
Have you been wondering how to attract the attention of professional football club academies, and “how to get my child ‘scouted’ by London clubs”? This could well be the answer. Children involved in Foxes FC London football Masterclasses have already attracted attention from clubs like Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Fulham, QPR and Southampton.
Futsal, five-a-side and holiday camps
As Foxes FC prides itself on offering a varied and exciting programme of football fun for children, the new Chiswick Academy is delivering some exciting opportunities for all abilities of players. Let’s look more closely at some of these West London football activities for children.
5-a-side Football League
The new Chiswick Football Academy for children and young people will support an exciting new 5-a-side league, taking place weekly at the all-weather, well-lit QH Memorial Sports Ground River Pitches.
Teams of boys and girls can gain valuable competitive experience while having fun with new and existing friends. The professional coaches and qualified referees will also help them learn new skills, teamwork and wider sports etiquette.
Registered teams can even design their own customised kits, as part of their sense of unity and camaraderie!
What is Futsal?
This is a sport that is sweeping the nation and thanks to Foxes FC, there is now a way for children to play Futsal in West London’s Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub.
Futsal is played on indoor pitches and involves different rules and techniques than standard 5-a-side football. It also uses a smaller, heavier ball. Futsal is also energetic and involves a great deal of close footwork, giving local children a way to learn ball control skills and get fit while enjoying themselves.
Chiswick area Holiday Camps
A lot of the West London football activities for children provided by the new Academy will be in term times. However, Foxes FC already has an excellent track record for offering sports holiday activities for children too.
These Holiday Camps will be age and ability-appropriate school vacation fun. Some will also be Football Development Campsm using technical drills and friendly matches to build skills.
For Academy player siblings, The Little Foxes Club offers holiday camp classes that include not just football, but also multi-sports and arts and crafts. Children as young as 18 months are provided with a safe holiday club environment, wet weather provision and lunch. The flexible arrangements mean you can book single-day, half-day and whole-camp participation.
Local football fun for beginners
Another of the carefully managed and high-quality Chiswick area football opportunities offered by Foxes FC is aimed at the youngest and newest football players.
Little Foxes provides the Chiswick Academy’s football training sessions for beginners, from toddlers upwards. The emphasis is on giving them a really enjoyable first experience of the skills involved and playing football with new friends.
As with all the Foxes FC programmes, girls and boys are welcome, and the safety and care standards provided are extremely high.
