OUR GIRLS' FOOTBALL PROGRAMME

Women’s football is playing an ever more prominent role in the world of sports. New generations of young players will have the respect of growing audiences, at a national and international level.

Foxes FC has always been fully committed to inclusivity and equal opportunities for players of both genders. That includes our Academies offering girls their own route to footballing excellence and enjoyment.

This prepares them for if they decide to keep playing football as they get older, in both amateur and professional women’s football teams.

LOCAL FOOTBALL ACTIVITIES FOR GIRLS

Among the football training options for girls aged five to 16, is our Development squads.

These are non-competitive, highly inclusive fun football training sessions, for all abilities. Children are grouped according to age and receive the nurturing support of professional football coaches.

Though sessions are geared largely towards fun, friendship and fitness, girls will also learn important football skills, and other personal attributes such as good teamwork, anticipation, problem solving and communication.

For some, this will be their first taste of football coaching. However, many beginners go on to develop a passion for the sport and confidence that encourages progression to an all-girl football team.

FOXES FIVES - FRIDAY 5-A-SIDE LEAGUE

Another highly sociable and entertaining way for girls to get involved in football locally is our popular 5-a-side leagues.

Foxes Fives runs on Friday nights, and groups teams according to age, to enjoy friendly competition within high-quality sports venues. Teams can design their own football kit, as well as select a name. They then follow their progress online and benefit from an end-of-season Awards night.

FOOTBALL ACADEMIES FOR GIRLS

For young players who want advanced coaching in women’s football – and competitive experience within all-girl leagues – our Academies are the ideal solution.

They support numerous football teams for Girls from U7 – U16. These play in local leagues and benefit from the excellent coaching support afforded to all Academy players. Including access to free football Masterclasses for girls.
